Isola Della Cona is a protected natural area located on the mouth of the Isonzo River, province of Gorizia, where many of the bird species of Friuli Venezia Giulia live. Here many species find a safe place to spend the wintertime or reproduce during their migrations. The national park, famous for its flora and fauna, is known as the best area in Italy for birdwatching.
